The MILLS Study
The Minnesota Inclusive LTSS for LGBTQ+ Seniors Study is a research study that is assessing the impact of a new online and in-person training regarding how to provide the best care for LGBTQ+ people in Long Term Care.
The MILLS Study was conducted from December 2023 to December 2025 and enrolled Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities in Minnesota into a randomized, three-arm clinical trial. The two intervention groups received an online or an in-person version of a new training developed by experts in the MILLS Study team.
